Invite someone
Go to Settings, then Team. Enter the person’s email address, choose a role, and send the invitation. They get an email with a link to join your workspace.
Pending invitations are listed on the same page and you can cancel one before it is accepted.
The roles
You are the owner of the workspace you created. There are three roles you can give other people:
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Subcontractor | Works jobs: tasks, photos, time. Sees no dollar figures anywhere. |
| Team Member | Full field and office access. Sees prices, not costs. |
| Admin | Manages the workspace, the team and the settings. |
You can change someone’s role, or remove them, from the same page.
What each role can see
This is about which numbers appear, not about which jobs appear.
- Subcontractors see no money at all. Prices, costs, totals, balances and rates are removed before the data reaches their device. This is enforced on our servers, not hidden in the app, so it holds however they sign in.
- Team Members see what the customer pays but not what the work costs you. Cost and margin figures are removed for them, so they can quote and invoice without seeing your buy prices.
- Admins and owners see everything.
Roles change what is visible and what is allowed, not which jobs are listed. Everyone in your workspace can see the workspace’s jobs, contacts and schedule. If you need someone to work only their own jobs, use the My Jobs view to give them that focus rather than expecting the role to hide the rest.
Who can share things with customers
Owners, admins and team members can create a customer portal link and send a payment link.
Subcontractors cannot. A portal link is a working credential that shows a customer their documents and balances, so the role that never sees money cannot hand one out either.
