Everything here happens from the customer’s portal link, with no account and no sign-in. If you have not shared one yet, start with give a customer a portal link.
Answer an estimate
An open estimate carries three buttons on the customer’s side: Approve, Decline and Request changes.
- Approve. They type their full name to sign, and the signature is stamped onto the document.
- Decline. They can say why, and you are notified. An approved estimate cannot be declined afterwards: a signature is not something a second click can quietly undo.
- Request changes. They tell you what they want different, you are notified, and the estimate stays open. Revise it and resend; nothing about the ask changes the document’s status by itself.
Pay an invoice
An open invoice carries a Pay button that goes straight to a card checkout. The customer can add a tip if they want to, and can save a card for next time. Card details are entered on the payment page, never in Crewfather.
Watch the crew arrive
When a crew member sets off and marks I’m on my way, the customer’s portal grows a Track my crew button, and the on-my-way text carries the same link.
It opens a live map: their address, the crew’s position updating as it moves, a rough arrival estimate, and a progress line running Scheduled, On the way, Complete.
The crew’s location is shared only while they are on the way to that visit. It comes from the crew member choosing to share, it stops when they stop, and a position that has gone quiet drops off the map rather than pretending to be current.
Sign up for text updates
The portal offers Get text updates, so the customer can opt in to hearing from you by text. Texting a customer always requires this opt-in, whoever or whatever sends the text.
Ask for more work
A customer can also request new work from the portal, which arrives in your pipeline as a request card on your board.
